Position: Senior Marketing Consultant (Copy Writer/Editor) - Job number: 052712
Manages and maintains all content on behalf of Marketing & Communications. Responsibilities include a thorough review of all copy drafts to ensure they're free of errors. Ensures of adherence to predetermined reading level and editorial styles
Interviews, researches and writes copy for a variety of needs, including internal stories, press releases, advertising, brochures and other publications. Asks questions, uses critical thinking skills to mitigate risk on behalf of the organization and the department. Knows and advocates for adherence to department policies.
Tells the stories of UC Health through compelling and creative means, using a variety of platforms to effectively and appropriately share stories with targeted groups. Serves as a member of the Communications team in supporting both internal and external communications efforts. Writes and publishes stories to support culture-building and brand-building communication efforts. Follows up on leads developed and provided by marketing and communications leaders and reports regularly on progress and results.
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or relevant field, minimum required.
Years of Experience:
Three to five years equivalent experience, minimum required. Six to ten years equivalent experience, preferred.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Experience and understanding of current marketing and communications techniques
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Skilled in project management and organization
Excellent team, interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
