You may have noticed there are a few changes to this year’s Blacksmith Awards – a different location, a fun theme, even a new way to submit entries. And we couldn’t be more excited. The Blacksmith Awards already have a strong reputation of recognizing the outstanding PR work that takes place every day in Cincinnati. This year, we just wanted to add in some new elements. So, what do you need to know about this year’s event? Check out the short list below.
Dinner is served.
First things first (and since we all know what’s really important, right?): We are pleased to share that the Blacksmith Awards on Nov. 13 will offer a full dinner buffet. We heard from you that not only did you want to enjoy the fabulous company and free drinks, but that you would love to have dinner while you were at it. This year’s event at 20th Century will offer just that.
We’ve simplified the awards entry process by putting everything online. You can register and email your award entries in four simple steps. We know this is new for everyone – including us. So, we’re committed to helping you every step of the way. Please feel free to contact the Blacksmith Awards Committee Co-chairs, Elaine Zeinner or Kathleen Williams, with any questions. Read more about the electronic entry process and check your Call for Entries for details.
We’re going Hollywood.
The Blacksmith Awards are going Hollywood thanks to our theme – the Blockbuster Blacksmiths. We’ve thrown in a dash of super stardom and movie elements from the well-known location (20th Century Theater in Oakley) to decorations, food, snacks, other fun elements and (fingers crossed!) our emcee.
Sept. 10 is fast approaching.
All entries are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10. That’s a little less than a month away. While you still have plenty of time to put together your award submissions, that deadline will be here before you know it. Start your entry today to avoid that last-minute scramble! Check out the Call for Entries to review all the categories.
Let us know how the process is going so far! Best of luck!
