Worthy Causes Need Your Help

Our chapter has received several worthy and exciting community service inquiries this year. Below are great opportunities for you to give back to our community.

Beauvita. Founded by parents, BeauVita is a charitable organization with the purpose of providing residential programs and services for adults with disabilities. Beauvita is looking for help with an upcoming special event in March and would like public relations assistance with strategy and media outreach.

CAIN’s relaunch of Grace Place, Spring 2014. CAIN (Churches Active in Northside) is a nonprofit collaborative ministry of neighborhood churches and provides food, crisis assistance, and resources. CAIN needs public relations assistance with re-launching Grace Place, temporary shelter and hospitality for women in transition from homelessness in a setting which is home-like, healthy, loving and supportive.

In this volunteer role, you would be working with volunteers and staff members to develop strategy for neighborhood and service provider outreach.

go Vibrant’s Play Now launch, Spring 2014. go Vibrant is starting a new initiative – Play Now – for Washington and Smale parks. The nonprofit is a civic partnership of more than 40 organizations energized by the mission to make healthy living easier in Cincinnati. Play Now allows park goers to enjoy spur of the moment physical activity through the use of an equipment locker system. The lockers operate like a bike share program where a consumer swipes a card and borrows the equipment (ie. football) for 2 hours for free.
