Position: Engagement Manager, Women’s Fund

THE WOMEN’S FUND

The Women's Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation leads our community in ensuring the economic self-sufficiency of women in our region. Through leadership, research, and policy advocacy, the Women’s Fund is designing a community where all women can participate, prosper and reach their full potential.

RELATIONSHIPS

The Engagement Manager reports to the Executive Director of the Women’s Fund and will work closely with the entire Women’s Fund team and our community of supporters and volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

There are three key areas of responsibility in this position:

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS - 50%

The Engagement Manager drives the Women’s Fund momentum by crafting a cohesive marketing and communications strategy and executing the day-to-day marketing activities of the Fund. This includes communicating with our community through social media, e-mails, press releases and our website.

  • Create engaging written and visual content; write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms, e-mail, websites and social networks.

  • Manage and execute editorial and communications calendar that aligns with Fund strategy and activities, particularly as it relates to the “Conversation With” event.

  • Grow new and existing audiences on social networks; monitor social media progress using web analytic tools; incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data and research best ways to increase engagement.

  • Manage media relations in conjunction with GCF marketing department; ensure fidelity of all information released publicly.

  • Conceptualize, create and lay out basic visuals based on fund needs; Familiar and proficient with design software such as Canva, Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.

  • Manage design and print vendors for more complex designed projects.

EVENT PLANNING - 30%

The Engagement Manager is responsible for charting the vision, theme, tone and logistics of the annual "A Conversation With..." event as well as other fundraising, educational and friendraising events throughout the year.

  • Lead, plan and execute signature “Conversation With” event; manage event budget and coordinate logistics working in tandem with the Women’s Fund Coordinator and the Engagement Committee.

  • Work with Development Director to secure corporate sponsorships and execute marketing benefits.

  • Plan other events to publicize the Women’s Fund and engage the community.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT - 20%

Be a catalyst for the Women’s Fund work in the community by educating, recruiting and inspiring stakeholders and future volunteers and donors to join our movement.

  • Meet with community members who want to get involved with the Women’s Fund and pair them with appropriate volunteer and engagement opportunities.

  • Manage relationships and convenings of our non-profit partners and every day experts to ensure the systems work of the Women’s Fund is driven by community voice.

  • Develop and coordinate activities designed to promote the Fund and its offerings to the community.

  • Make presentations about our work and research to various community groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for the issue of women’s economic self-sufficiency and gender equity.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; comfort in connecting to all types of constituents and ability to build authentic, long-term relationships. Proven ability to work as a great teammate with diverse groups of people.

  • Polished and compelling oral and written communication skills; ability to embody the Women’s Fund’s unique brand voice. Ability to project a positive image/brand identity to the public in presentations and meetings.

  • Impeccable follow-through and strong attention to detail; ability to connect all facets of communications and events to our strategy.

  • Excellent time and task management skills as evidenced by a proven ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.

  • At least four years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, nonprofit organizations, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Proficient/Ability to master Microsoft Office suite, social media platforms, CRM system, design software, Google Analytics and AP writing style. Basic design skills highly desired.

  • Ability to leverage volunteer and in-kind resources to achieve goals.

  • Desired personal traits: team player, nimble, continuous learner, organized, efficient and enjoys a positive culture filled with talented people who care about our community.

  • Sense of humor, creativity, growth mindset and an appreciation of the role of philanthropy in building community.

SALARY RANGE

$48,000 - $57,000 per year

This position is full-time, with attractive benefits and is located at Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

Wages are negotiable within the competitive salary range set by GCF. The ranges have been established based on organization, industry and national standards. Desired salary expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
