Position: Digital Communications Specialist

General Summary: Develops Bank corporate communications including website, intranet and social media content creation and posting. Develops and executes promotional materials and messaging.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Bank mission and messages by managing the consistent use of branding throughout the organization and providing direction to employees implementing brand standards.

  • Develops and executes graphic art and photography for production of both print and electronic publications, promotions, advertising and presentations.

  • Executes internal and external photography and desktop design independently. Develops video or multimedia productions as needed. Manages photo database.

  • Develops and executes internal communication from original idea to useable messaging for print and digital distribution. This process may include conducting interviews, coordinating messages from multiple departments, writing and editing content, creating corresponding images and gaining approvals, while ensuring alignment with the Human Resources department.


  • Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in graphic or visual arts, communications, marketing or public relations.

  • One to three years’ related work or internship experience.

  • Excellent visual, graphic arts, desktop design, photography, and social media navigation skills. Video editing and production a plus.

  • Excellent written, oral communication, proofreading and editing skills.

  • Ability to produce publications, social media and website postings, and communication programs using knowledge of accepted journalistic and public relations standards, editing layout, in-house design, PC technology including Microsoft Office and desktop design while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with the public, media, member institutions, partners, vendors and Bank staff in conducting business and promoting a positive image of the Bank.

Working Conditions: Requires frequent interaction with website, intranet, and social media postings. Flexibility to photograph events outside the Bank, occasionally outside normal business hours. Travel required approximately 10% of the time.
