The Blacksmith Awards, presented by the Cincinnati chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, honor the best of Greater Cincinnati’s public relations community, from talented, experienced practitioners to stellar work that has local, national and international impact.

Free parking is available at the Bell Event Center parking lot. There is also parking for a nominal fee at the Casino and street parking around the facility.

Meet our 2015 Blacksmith Awards emcee, Betsy Ross
Betsy has been a fixture in the Cincinnati television market for more than 20 years, beginning her career out of college at WCPO-TV. Since then she has worked in Indianapolis, in New York and back in Cincinnati at WLWT-TV and, presently, at WXIX-TV as a sports anchor.
Her national TV resume includes anchoring at SportsChannel America, now part of the Fox Sports regional system, and five years as an anchor at ESPN.
Since 2002 she has been the president and co-founder of Game Day Communications, a sports p.r. and events company with clients ranging from the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon to the 2015 All-Star Game to Western & Southern Open Tennis and the new Liberty Center lifestyle retail shopping complex.
In between, Betsy teaches P.R. and Sports at Xavier University, serves as in-stadium announcer for a number of University of Cincinnati sports and works Bengals games as part of the Junglevision crew.
In 2010 Betsy wrote "Playing Ball With the Boys: The Rise of Women in the World of Men's Sports" highlighting interviews with such groundbreaking women in sports as Lesley Visser, Christine Brennan and Billie Jean King.
In 2015 she was presented with an Emmy® award from the Ohio Valley Chapter, National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, for "Lauren Hill: Her First Collegiate Game" Broadcast. Other awards include the State of Ohio Governor's Small Business Award, Telly Award, "The Story of Pete Rose" video for Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, Ball State University Distinguished Alumni and Leading Women in Cincinnati.

2014 Blacksmith Winners
More than 100 awards were announced at the 20th Century Theater during the 2014 ceremony. The Blacksmith Awards recognize the best and most effective public relations campaigns and tactics executed in Greater Cincinnati throughout the year. Only one top award —the Blacksmith -- is given in each category.
