2012 Blacksmith Awards Winners

Cincinnati’s Public Relations Community Honored at the 2012 Blacksmith Awards

The Cincinnati chapter of the Public Relations Society of America honored local public relations practitioners for their outstanding PR campaigns and tactics at the annual Blacksmith Awards on November 14 at the Hyatt Regency in Cincinnati. 

The Best-in-Show campaign was presented to Wordsworth Communications on behalf of Protect-A-Bed for the Catnap Chronicles campaign, and the Best-in-Show tactic was presented to the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber for the We Are Greater Cincinnati speech delivered at the Chamber’s annual dinner.  

Hosted by Liz Bonis of LOCAL 12, more than 100 PR professionals gathered at the event that also recognized individuals and agencies for their accomplishments in 2012.

The Communications Team of the Year was Great American Insurance Group Corporate Communications.  The Mid-Size Agency of the Year was Wordsworth Communications and the Large Agency of the Year was Northlich. 

The 2012 Blacksmith Awards were co-chaired by Shara Clark and Stephanie Honan, and the committee included: Sarah McGee, Liz Vogel and Cheryl Besl. The presenting sponsor was The Eisen Agency, and other sponsors included Northlich, Shoutlet, Gail Myers Public Relations, Halo Branded Solutions, PPS Group and Great American Insurance Group.
