2010 Blacksmith Awards Winners

The Cincinnati Chapter of Public Relations Society of America honored its members for their outstanding PR campaigns and tactics at the annual Blacksmith Awards on November 17 at McCormick & Schmicks, Downtown Cincinnati.

Best in Show-Campaign was presented to Empower MediaMarketing for their campaign "Engaging Hispanic Moms where They Live, Shop and Play" and the Gilchrist Group was honored for Best in Show-Tactic for their work with the Greater Cincinnati Health Council Research.

Hosted by Doug Bolton, publisher of the Cincinnati Business Courier, more than 100 PR professionals gathered at the event that also recognized individuals and agencies for their accomplishments in 2009-10.

Public Relations Professional of the Year was presented to Rodger Roeser, The Eisen Agency; the Communications Team of the Year was Rumpke Consolidated Companies, Inc. (Corporate Communications Team); the CEO Communicator of the Year was David B. O'Maley, CLU, ChFC, MSFS, Chairman, President & CEO, Ohio National Financial Services and the Mid-Size Agency of the Year was Strata-G Communications.

The 2010 Blacksmith Awards were co-chaired by Gail Myers, APR and Jackie Reau, and the committee included: Shara Clark, Kristan Getsy and Lauren Green-Caldwell.  Sponsors of the event are listed below.
