2006 Blacksmith Awards Winners

Honoring outstanding work by the professionals in our public relations community.

In addition to highlighting outstanding project and campaign work, the Blacksmith Awards recognized three individuals for outstanding achievement:

  • Rookie of the Year (presented to an outstanding member with three years or less of professional industry experience): Elaine Zeinner, Public Relations Specialist for the Kenton County Public Library
  • Professional of the Year (presented to an outstanding member with five or more years of experience who has a record of professional achievement over the past year): Raymond “Buz” Buse III, Public Relations Director for the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber
  • Werner-VonderHaar-Bogart Award (career achievement award for individual service to the chapter, the profession, the community, and society): Mike Boehmer, Public Relations Specialist, Hamilton County Job & Family Services

In each category, an Award of Excellence was presented.  In some categories, one or two finalists also received honorable mention.
